DH Academy offers free immigration consultations to all of our students and community members. Our immigration clinic was created with the goal of giving guidance and support to students who are unable to hire an immigration attorney. Without an attorney to advocate on their behalf, our students have no choice but to represent themselves in front of their judge. We provide ‘Know Your Rights’ presentations which discuss how to navigate through the US immigration system. ‘Know Your Rights’ presentations are spoken in the native language of the student and describe various forms of immigration relief available for them to pursue. Using these presentations we are able to share immigration legal resources and provide materials and assistance explaining how to file a pro-se motion with the court.
